Reports are that both groups, who are sailing through The Bahamas, met at a Long Island bar.
The crew of the Adamo sailboat is still wanted by police for trespassing and has been reported to their marina in Daytona as well as US wildlife authorities.

What is your "source"?
Just like the Iguana incident, you are trying to stir the rumor mill and blow things out of proportion.
It's a damn duck... And probably a stupid mistake on the part of the cruisers...
You want to be outraged. How about this, I was robbed by a crackhead Bahamian while I slept on my boat. They took thousands of dollars of electronics from my boat. The Bahamian police couldn't even be bothered to write up a proper report. You should be outraged by the fact that you can't keep tourists safe when they are AT ANCHOR in Nassau.
But a bad decision by a foreigner on a boat, and you want to string someone up from the gallows at Fox Hills. You should really check your priorities, and please stop embelishing the facts.
Wow Chris, that story struck a nerve, huh? Let me take it one at a time:
1. I don't know who The Tribune's source was. Why don't you call and ask them: 242-322-1986 While you have them on the line why don't you send some of this negativity their way as well.
2. I have seen iguanas in the Exumas many times and I think they deserve to feel safe. That way other visitors can enjoy them. Bring enough food on your boat. This is not a safari.
3. Yes it was a stupid mistake. That's why it made the news. When people make stupid mistakes we talk about them so that other people do not make the same stupid mistakes.
4. I'm sorry you got robbed but in case you did not notice there are just tons of stories about incompetent police shenanigans on this site. It's a nation-wide problem. File a complaint and whine about it like everybody else has to.
5. I don't know what facts you feel are embellished. The story makes it clear what information is from a source. Maybe the source was an idiot or lying. From what you say it does not seem so however.
4. I was outraged by neither incident. I think the eating of iguanas is stupid and if someone does it they should pay the price. Not to mention the under sized conch issue. That is a law we have to take seriously to protect the fish for ourselves and visitors who may want to fish legally.
On the duck incident, I think running around on an island when you don't know whose island it is and killing any animal on that island is equally stupid. It seems to me the action of someone who wants to play wildlife games and I don't want my country to be a playground. Be an informed visitor and bring your own food or sail somewhere else.
